The Diabetes Outcomes Analyzer™ is built on evidence from the literature that measures and predicts the impact of cost sharing on employee adherence to diabetes medications, health care spending associated with diabetes, and the impact of diabetes on employees' productivity in the workplace. Using national benchmarks of salary, benefits, and cost sharing along with modifiable fields for employer-specific data and assumptions, the scenario building tool predicts the impact of various benefit design alternatives.

Each page of the tool displays key elements for building the scenarios, including employee demographics and diabetes prevalence, adherence rates, pharmaceutical and medical costs, and productivity measures. Fields that may be modified to include employer-specific figures are highlighted. All sources and references are highlighted for each variable. Result pages that illustrate the impact of benefit design on adherence and total cost are displayed in chart form and in table format for ease of review. See the screen shots below:
